A family-owned and operated company, opened its doors in the fall of 1999 in Santa Barbara. Our plan was to offer visitors and locals the opportunity to experience Santa Barbara County’s extensive back-country, sprawling vineyards, breath-taking mountain ranges and incredible sunsets in our open-air, 4-wheel-drive Jeeps! Cloud Climbers Jeep Tours has grown systematically over the years, developing a positive reputation in Santa Barbara County that is unrivaled!
Cloud Climbers Jeep Tours offers wholesome, outdoor excursions that foster an appreciation for the area by celebrating its beauty and informing guests of its rich history. Our friendly and knowledgeable drivers provide interesting insights on the area’s history, plant-life indigenous to the region, and wine industry. Our Jeeps are built to maximize the views, allow access to less-traveled dirt roads, and maintain an intimacy (given the small numbers of guests we host simultaneously).
Our classic, CJ-8 Jeep Scramblers are 4-wheel drive vehicles, custom-built to maximize views and allow access to less-traveled dirt roads and private ranches. They are open-air vehicles with a canopy top, which allows for some shade without obstructing the beautiful scenery and fresh air. The guide-to-passenger ratio in each vehicle allows for a personalized experience on each outing.
Cloud Climbers Jeep Tours is in compliance with the regulations of the Public Utilities Commission and carries all necessary licenses and insurance for the protection of our guests (TCP: 0019968-S). We also adhere to the State of California’s Pull Program which requires random drug and alcohol testing of our drivers.
We have the approval of the Los Padres National Forest and uphold their policy of retaining an Outfitters Guide Permit, allowing us to explore the natural and wild beauty of our National Forest.
